Situated in Calgary's vibrant beltline, The Park is an 18-storey high-rise condominium tower offerring luxury living in an unbeatable location.
The project overlooks the rejuvinated Central Memorial Park and provides easy access both to the trendy 17th Ave and to the downtown core. Fitting its name, The Park is designed to be environmentally friendly, with thermal glazing, rainwater storage for the irrigation systems and green roofs on three levels.
The building contains 150 units with terraced upper roof levels and three levels of underground parking. The exterior is comprised of thermal tinted blue glass, providing a contemporary finish to the timeless architectural design.
Newland Construction will be overseeing all facets of the project, including construction of the building, installation of electric and mechanical and landscaping of the grounds.

Jeannette has over 8 years of experience in the management and coordination of projects from land use and development permits through to construction management and final project acceptance. Jeannette Graduated with a Civil Engineering Degree at the University of Calgary and is a registered license member in both Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) and Project Management Professional (PMP). Her project development expertise include an array of commercial developments and municipal engineering projects of Fire Stations, Water Treatment Plant & Reservoir to Transportation Planning, and Public Relations. She is often described as a passionate leader who is not just focused on completing the tasks, but completing the entire project with genuine passion and enthusiasm for perfection.

Assistant Project Manager
Melvin obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in the Philippines. After successful completion of the professional engineering licensure examination, he started working as Project Engineer for a real estate development company in the Philippines. He has 12 years of hands on experience in development and construction. Everything from the conceptualization to the turn-over of the project to the end-user. Melvin’s experience in the industry includes a wide variety of projects, from land development of exclusive communities, business and commercial parks development, economic IT zones, high rise office buildings and high rise multi-family condominium projects. Prior to moving to Canada in 2012, Melvin’s last position in the Philippines was working with a leading real estate developer as the Project Engineering Manager in-charge of a high rise condominium project.
Melvin has also acquired 1 and ½ years of full time study towards his Master of Science in Management Engineering from one of the pioneering university in the Central Philippines. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute and is working on his APEGA designation.
In 2014, he was selected to attend the Engineering and Technology Upgrading Program facilitated by CCIS and funded by the Government of Alberta. Melvin joined Newland Construction Limited right after graduation from the program and forms part of their forward thinking team.×
Assistant Project Manager
Mark obtained his Masters in Sustainable Engineering from the Waterford Institute of Technology in Waterford, Ireland. Upon successful completion of the Masters course, Mark went on to work as a Civil and Structural Design Engineer with a highly reputable consultancy design engineering office in Ireland, working on various projects from initiation to completion. He has been responsible for the structural design on a variety of projects such as schools, housing developments, commercial and industrial units, fire stations, highways, refurbishment projects, waste water treatment facilities and many more. He has experience in both Civil Engineering drainage design as well as environmental aspects of Civil Engineering.
Mark is hard working, diligent and takes a great deal of pride in his work from start to finish. He looks forward to participating, and expanding on his experience, contributing to the many exciting jobs that Newland Construction Limited has upcoming.×

Nicole obtained her BA in Engineering from the University of Shanghai. She is currently adding to her considerable skills in the Civil Engineering Technology program at SAIT. Nicole also brings experience in supply chain management, having worked at one of the world’s leading freight and supply management companies. She is excited to bring her strong work ethic and attention to detail to Newland Construction.×
Hong joins Newland with both a BA degree in Accounting as well as her CPA designation. Her educational background has provided her with a strong foundation to build analytical and organizational skills, as well as obtain a strong attention to detail. Hong demonstrates flexibility, working with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds and is thrilled to bring her experiences to the team at Newland Construction.×
Nicole is an experienced Health and Safety Representative with ten years under her belt in various industries including construction. Her previous experience includes working with various companies while helping them develop, maintain and improve their programs as well as helping them achieve recognition in their own specific work scopes.
Nicole has various certifications such as the National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) in Alberta, the Construction Safety Officer (CSO) in British Columbia, and has also obtained her Occupational Health and Safety certification (Canada wide). She is well on her way to obtaining her Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) status as well.
Nicole is very passionate about Health and Safety for not only the staff and general public on and around Newland Construction Limited sites and offices but intends to be a leader in the industry and hopes to set high standards that others may learn from in the future. Her mission is to be supportive and provide direction as well as education to create a better safety culture in many aspects of Construction as well as having an impact on people in a way that will encourage them to take Safety home with them×
